While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I experienced behind its threshold was disturbing and far below any standard .

The floorboards were filthy, and a pungent odor of decaying beverages and neglected washrooms polluted the entire pub. Smelling a mixture of human waste, putrefaction and illness . The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was piled high with used mugs and trash that looked like it had accumulated over weeks. The toilet was in even a more revolting state — spilling over , with a snapped lever and tiles smeared in what I can only assume was feces.
It wasn’t just a isolated occurrence either. Going through other patrons’ reviews and chatting with the community, it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) at this so-called establishment is a well-known flaw . Many visitors have reported spotting critters darting across the drink station and traces of mice in the basement .
